How to make Gunta Ponganalu: In Dosa batter add 1 tea spoon cumin seeds, 1/2 tea spoon salt, 1 diced onion, green chilli pieces, curry leaves, coriander leaves and mix. You can grind green chillis also. Grated carrot also can be added. Add soaked Bengal gram and ginger pieces. Mix well. Heat the gunta ponganalu pan. Add 2 to 3 drops of oil in each of the depressions. Fill the prepared batter upto 3/4 of the depression, close the lid. let it cook for 3 to 4 minutes on low flame. Flip them as shown in the video. Let it cook for 2 to 3 minutes. It can be serve with Coconut chutney, Ginger chutney or Ground nut chutney.
