Wash drumstick leaves and dry in shade for 2 hours.
Heat pan and fry 1 cup washed, dried drumstick leaves. Fry without oil. Fry till moisture in the leaves dries off. Eating two gulps of this powder with rice before every meal will improve the digestion. Fry till the leaves dry completely and the sound can be heard lightly while frying. Move it into a different bowl. Fry curry leaves now. Fry till moisture in the leaves dries off. Curry leaves fry faster. They could be fried with drumstick leaves also. Add this to the drumstick leaves bowl. Heat a pan and add 2 teaspoons bengal gram, 2 teaspoons black gram and fry. Fry all these items dryly. Fry for a minute and add 2 tablespoons groundnuts. Fry dried chillies. Fry till dried chillies start to change color. Add 1 teaspoon coriander seeds, 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds and fry. Add 7-8 garlic cloves, tamarind and mix. Cut off the stove and let it cool down for 10 minutes. Add these ingredients to a mixie jar after it cools down. Add 1 teaspoon salt or salt to taste and powder it. The powder need not be smooth, it tastes good coarsely. Add fried drumstick leaves, curry leaves and powder it. This powder tastes good with idli, rice and clarified butter (ghee).
