How to make Ragi Soup in Telugu

1. Finger Millets Powder - 2-3 Tablespoons

3. Pepper Powder
4. Chopped Vegetables

This recipe will be useful for weight loss. Finger millets are good for diabetic and obese patients. Making millets a part of our diet is very good for our health. Let's see how to cook finger millets soup. It is not time consuming at all. Finger millets powder could be made at home or bought in stores. Any vegetables could be used here. Add water to finger millets powder and mix into a loose consistency liquid. This is done to prevent lumps from forming while adding this to hot water. Heat 2 teaspoons clarified butter (ghee) in a pan. Clarified butter (ghee) or oil could be used. Add 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds, 2 dried chillies and fry. Add chopped onions and fry. Add 1/4 cup carrot pieces and mix. Add vegetables of your choice and mix. Close the lid and cook on low flame for 5 minutes. Add 3 cups water. Add 1/2 teaspoon pepper powder (optional), 1 teaspoon salt and mix. Close the lid and let the water boil. Add finger millets powder liquid and mix. More water could be added. Boil the soup. Keep mixing. Add more pepper powder or salt if necessary. It will take 12-15 minutes for the soup to cook completely. Boil till required consistency is obtained. Add coriander leaves and mix.
