This is a tasty side dish for Rice and Chapati or Roti which can be made in less time. It is so tasty plus it needs no coconut.
- 250 grams Baby Corn
- 1/2 Cup Onions
- 2 Green Chillies
- 1/2 Cup Tomato Paste
- 1/2 Cup Onion Paste
- 1 Teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
- 2 Teaspoon Chilli Powder
- 1 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
- 1 Teaspoon Coriander Seeds Powder
- 1/2 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds Powder
- 1/4 Teaspoon Garam Masala
- 1/4 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 2 Tablespoons Oil
Cut baby corns into pieces of desired size and boil them. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a pan. Fry 1/2 cup chopped onions. As onions start to change colour, add onion paste and cook for a couple of minutes. Add tomato paste and fry. Here, paste of 2 tomatoes is used. Add 2 chopped green chillies, boiled baby corn. Cook for some time. Close the lid and cook on low flame. Add 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste, 2 teaspoons chilli powder, 1 teaspoon coriander seeds powder, 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds powder, 1 1/2 teaspoon salt or salt to taste and mix. Add 1 teaspoon turmeric powder and mix. Close the lid for a couple of minutes and add 2 cups water. Mix and cook till gravy thickens. After gravy thickens, add 1/4 teaspoon garam masala. Sprinkle coriander leaves.
