A crispy and tasty snack can be made easily at home. An ideal starter, snack and goes well as a side dish to main meals too. Kids will thoroughly enjoy it. Many snacks can be tried with potatoes but 65 is one of the unique recipes liked by everyone. Delicious mouth-watering bites need no special occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 Kg Potato
  • 2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 2 Tablespoons White Flour Maida
  • 2 Tablespoons Rice Flour
  • 2 Tablespoons Corn Flour
  • 1 Teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Cumin Powder
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • Oil required for deep frying
  • 4 to 5 Numbers Garlic Cloves
  • 2 Numbers Rec Chilies
  • 3 Numbers Green Chilies
  • 2 Shoots Curry Leaves
  • 1/2 Cup Curd
  • a Pinch Food Color Optional
  • Coriander Leaves for garnishing

Instructions

  1.  In a bowl add water and add ½ kg potatoes, let them be completely dipped in water.· 

  2. Boil them till they are cooked with ½ teaspoon of salt, with a lid on it.

  3. Let it cool then cut them into pieces.

  4. In a mixing bowl add 2 tablespoons of White Flour, 2 tablespoons of Rice Flour and,  2 tablespoons of Cornflour.· 

  5. Now add 1 teaspoon of Chili Powder, ¾ teaspoon of salt, 1 tablespoon of Coriander Powder and,  ½ teaspoon of Cumin Powder.·

  6. Then will add ½ teaspoon of Turmeric Powder and mix them all with some water to the required consistency.·

  7. Now will the potato pieces and coat them thoroughly.

  8. Heat oil in a pan for deep frying the potatoes.

  9. Fry them till golden brown on low medium flame

  10. And place them aside for a while

  11. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan

  12. Then add 4 to 5 Garlic pods finely chopped and fry them for a while.

  13. Now, will add 2 red chilies and 2 to 3 green chilies slit.

  14.  And then will add 2 shoots of curry leaves, let them cook for a moment.

  15.   Now, will add ½ cup of curd and a pinch of food colour (optional).

  16. Then, will add ½ teaspoon of salt or as needed and add the fried potatoes.

  17. Sauté them thoroughly, tasty Aloo 65 is ready.

  18. Garnish it with some Coriander leaves, serve them hot.
