Butter Chicken

Everybody likes Butter Chicken.  Here are the simple and easy step by step procedure  to make Butter Chicken . For more Non Vegetarian Recipes, follow our website Hyderabadi Ruchulu.

Ingredients

1. Chicken – 1/2 Kg

2. Onions – 1 Cup

3. Tomatoes – 1 Cup

4. Cumin Seeds – 1 Teaspoon

5. Coriander Seeds Powder – 2 Teaspoon

6. Cashew Nuts – 7-8

7. Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 Teaspoon

8. Turmeric Powder – 1 Teaspoon

9. Chilli Powder – 2 Teaspoons

10. Garam Masala Powder – 1/2 Teaspoon

11. Salt – 3 Teaspoons

12. Garlic Cloves – 7-8

13. Ginger – 1 Teaspoon

14. Green Chillies – 4

15. Dried Fenugreek Leaves – 1 Tablespoon

16. Butter – 3 Tablespoons

 

For Butter Chicken , Chicken needs to be marinated first.

To a bowl, add cleaned chicken.

Add 1 teaspoon chilli powder, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon coriander seeds powder, 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste, 1 teaspoon salt

Mix.

Marinate for 15 to 20 minutes.

Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a pan.

Roast marinated chicken

Put it aside.

Heat 1 tablespoon butter in the same pan.

Add 1 teaspoon cumin seeds, cashew nut pieces

Fry.

Add ginger pieces

Fry.

Add garlic cloves, green chillies

Fry.

Add onions

Fry for 5 minutes.

Add diced tomatoes and cook.

Add 1 teaspoon salt.

Close the lid

Cook till tomatoes become soft.

Let it cool down

Grind the mixture into a paste.

Heat a pan

Then Add 2 tablespoons butter.

Add 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon chilli powder, 1 teaspoon coriander seeds powder

Mix.

 Add onions tomato paste

Mix.

Then add 1 cup water.

Close the lid

Cook for 5 minutes.

Add roasted chicken

Mix.

Cook for 5-10 minutes.

Add 2 tablespoons cream (optional).

Then add 1 tablespoon crushed dried fenugreek leaves, 1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder.

Cook for 5 minutes on low flame

Serve hot.
