INGREDIENTS
1. Cabbage - 1/2 Kg
2. Green Gram - 1/2 Cup
3. Green Chillies - 7-8
4. Onions - 1/2 Cup
5. Curry Leaves - 1/2 Cup
6. Cumin Seeds - 1/2 Teaspoon
7. Turmeric Powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
8. Salt - 1 1/2 Teaspoon
9. Ginger Garlic Paste - 1/2 Teaspoon
10. Oil - 2 Tablespoons
Soak green gram in water for 30 minutes. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a pan. Add 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds, 1/2 cup onions and fry for 2 minutes. Add 7-8 chopped green chillies. As onions become transparent, add curry leaves. Fry for a minute. Add 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1/2 teaspoon ginger garlic paste and fry. Fry for a minute. Add cleaned, chopped cabbage. Close the lid and cook on low flame for 5 minutes. Add 1 1/2 teaspoon salt or salt to taste and mix. Let it cook in oil for some time. Add soaked green gram and mix. Close the lid and cook on low flame for 10 minutes by stirring in between. If the green gram doesnít cook well, sprinkle some water.
