Ingredients for Bun
1. All Purpose Flour – 2 cups
2. Dry Yeast – 1 tablespoon
3. Salt – 1/2 teaspoon
4. Sugar – 2 tablespoons
5. Melted Butter – 2 tablespoons
6. Milk – 1/4 cup
Ingredients for Stuffing Chicken
1. Boneless Chicken – 1/4 kg
2. Onion – 1
3. Green Chilli – 1
4. Chilli Powder – 1/2 teaspoon
5. Pepper Powder – 1/4 teaspoon
6. Salt – 1/2 teaspoon
7. Tasting Salt
8. Garlic – 1/2 teaspoon
9. Soya Sauce – 1/2 teaspoon
10. Vinegar – 1/2 teaspoon
11. Tomato Ketchup – 2 teaspoons
Today lets see how to make Chicken Bun without Oven
These are very tasty and can be made at home easily
Firstly we have to prepare the dough for bun and then chicken stuffing for it
Let’s knead the dough first
For the dough we will need the following ingredients
Any available yeast could be used
To 1/4 cup milk, add 1 tablespoon yeast and mix
Add 2 tablespoons sugar, 1/2 teaspoon salt and mix
Let it sit for 10-15 minutes
We can see that the milk has risen
To a bowl, add 2 cups all purpose flour, 1 tablespoon melted butter and mix it
Now add the prepared milk-yeast mixture and knead the dough
Knead till the dough becomes soft for 5-10 minutes
Add 1 teaspoon oil to a bowl and spread it
Place the dough in the bowl and spread some oil over it
Secure the lid of the bowl so that it is air tight
Let it sit for a minimum of 2 hours in a warm place
Let’s see how to prepare stuffing for the bun now
Here I took 1/4 kg boneless chicken
Dice the chicken into pieces
To a bowl, add cleaned chicken, 1 chopped onion, 1 green chilli, 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder, 1/4 teaspoon pepper powder, 1/2 teaspoon salt or salt to taste, a pinch of tasting salt, 1/2 teaspoon crushed garlic, 1/2 teaspoon soya sauce, 1/2 teaspoon vinegar, 2 teaspoons tomato ketchup and mix
Any type of ketchup or sauce could be used here
Marinate for a minimum of 1/2 hour
Heat 2 teaspoons oil in pan
Add the marinated chicken and close lid
Cook on high flame till the water seeping out of the chicken boils away
If any water does not seep out of the chicken or if the chicken seems uncooked then add some water
Stir and cook the chicken
Move it into a different bowl after it cooks completely
Stuffing is also ready now

We can see that the dough has rise. Knead it again once

To bowl in which these buns are going to be steamed, spread oil or butter
Divide the buns into equal parts
Take one part and fold it inside continuously so that the outer layer becomes soft without any patches
Bigger the dough part, bigger the buns will be
Press it with both hands flatly
Place the prepared chicken stuffing on it and then sprinkle some grated cheese on it
Cover the stuffing with the rest of the dough and roll it into a soft round ball again
Similarly prepare all the buns and place them on the bowl at a certain distance from each other
Sine the buns rise after some time, they need to have some breathing space in the bowl
Cover it with a kitchen towel and let it sit for 15 minutes
We can see that the gaps have been filled completely now since the dough has risen
Grease the dough with milk or egg wash
Take pan with thick base and place a stand in it
Put the bowl inside and close lid
Cook for 2 minutes on high flame
Bake for 40-45 minutes on low flame
If the buns are being baked in an oven
Pre heat the oven and cook on 180 degrees
Check the buns after 30-35 minutes
Bake till the buns turn brown
We can see that the buns have become brown and spongy now
Grease with butter or ghee
