Chicken Masala Curry With Potatoes Recipe
Chicken Curry, yummy gravy curry a great Combination for Rice and Rotis.
- 1/2 Kg Chicken Boneless
- 2 Potatoes
- 2 or 3 Pieces Ginger
- 7 to 8 Pods Garlic
- 1 Tomato Cut in pieces
- 3 to 4 Pieces Fresh Coconut
- 1 Tablespoon Oil
- 1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 2 Teaspoon Red Chili Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Coriander Powder
- 1/2 Teaspoon Cumin Powder
- 2 Slit Green Chilies
- a pinch Garam Masala
- 1/4 Cup Coriander Leaves Garnishing

Take ½ kg washed boneless chicken, chicken with bones can also be preferred.

Then take 2 potatoes cut into big pieces,and let them be placed aside for a while.

Now will prepare the masala for gravy in a mixie jar will add 2 to 3 ginger pieces.

Then will add 7 to 8 garlic pods and then 1 onion cut into pieces.

Now, will add 3 to 4 tablespoons of fresh coconut pieces. (dry coconut pieces or the powder can also be used)

Again will add 1 tomato cut into pieces, make it into a fine paste.

Here I am cooking it in a mud pot, you can also cook it in a pan if you wish to.

Heat a pan and add 1 tablespoon of Oil, will add 1 onion cut into pieces.

Fry onions till they change color and add a pinch of turmeric powder.

Now will add the masala paste which we have prepared.

Cook it on a low flame with a lid for 3 to 4 minutes stirring it constantly.

Then will add chicken in it and cook for 10 minutes with a lid, we can see the water released from the chicken, on low flame.

Cook it till the released water subsides.

Now will add potato pieces in it and let it cook for 2 to 3 minutes.

Then will add 2 teaspoons of red chili powder and 1 ½ teaspoon of salt or as needed.

And will add 1 teaspoon of coriander powder and½ teaspoon of Cumin powder.

Again will add 2 green chilies slit, add some water and let it cook for a while.

Before we put off the stove add a pinch of Garam Masala and ¼ cup of coriander leaves.

Just check and put off the stove as I have cooked in the pot gravy may get thick.

So our yummy potato chicken curry is ready, it can be used as a combination of biryani, plain rice, rotis, and pooris.
