How to Make Goduma Pindi Biscuits in Telugu
Today, lets see how to make biscuits with wheat flour and jaggery
These are crunchy and tasty biscuits that can be made without an oven
For this recipe, we will need 1 cup wheat flour, 1/2 cup bombay rava.
Coarsely grind the bombay rava. Here I also used 1/2 cup dried coconut powder and dry fruits
Finally, we will need 1 cup jaggery for this recipe
Heat pan and add 1 cup jaggery alsong with 1 teaspoon of water and simmer till all the jaggery melts
Cut off the stove and let it cool down
To a mixing bowl, add 1 cup wheat flour, coarsely ground bombay rava, 1/2 cup coconut powder (optional), dry fruits, 1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder, a pinch of salt and mix
Then add 3-4 melted clarified butter (ghee) and mix
Oil also could be used instead
Knead and add the prepared jaggery syrup till the required consistency is obtained
Let it sit for 15 minutes and knead again
Here I'm separating the dough into 2 parts
Spread oil on the plastic sheet and rolling pin and press the dough into a thick, wide chepathi
Use a mold or cutter to cut it into small circles and remove the excess dough
Here I used a cutter to make a pattern on the biscuits
Its time to deep fry them
Heat oil on medium flame for deep fry
Drop a little dough and test if the oil is ready
Do not put the stove on high flame
Drop the biscuits in the oil and fry on low-medium flame
Flip and fry till both sides turn brown
Since it is wheat flour, the biscuits will come out darker
Place the biscuits in a tissue paper plate so as to remove the excess oil
These biscuits will harden only after they cool down
Let them cool down completely and store it in an air tight container
Crunchy home made wheat flour biscuits are ready!
