A classic Indian non veg recipe using minced meat (lamb) and fresh green peas, Lamb Keema Matar is easy to make and quite tasty too!
- 1/2 kg Minced Mutton
- 1/2 cup Fresh Peas
- 2 Onions
- 2 Tomatoes
- 2 tsp Chilli Powder
- 2 tsp Salt
- 2 Green Chillies
- 1 1/2 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1 1/2 tsp Coriander Seeds Powder
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds Powder
- 1/4 tsp Garam Masala
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
- Chopped Fenugreek Leaves (Optional)
Heat 2 tablespoons oil in pressure cooker
Add chopped onions and fry
Close lid and fry till they turn brown
As onions turn brown, add green chillies
Fry for a minute and add ginger garlic paste, turmeric powder,
cleaned minced mutton and mix
Close lid
Cook on high flame till the water seeping out of the mutton boils away
Add tomatoes and cook till they become soft
Add 3 teaspoons chilli powder, 2 teaspoons salt,
1 1/2 teaspoon coriander seeds powder, 1 teaspoon cumin seeds and mix
Add fresh peas, fenugreek leaves and mix
Add 1 cup water
Add more water if more gravy is desired
Close lid and cook for 3-4 whistles
Open lid after the cooker cools down
Lamb keema matar curry is ready now
Cook for some more time if the gravy seems too much for you
Add garam masala and sprinkle coriander leaves
Mix
Serve hot with roti or rice!
