Oats Payasam Or Kheer
Oats kheer, a quick, easy, and healthy dessert. Oats are a great source of protein. A scrummy dish with a rich and creamy taste.
It makes a perfect dessert after meals, evening brunch, and breakfast too.
- 1 Cup Oats
- 3 Cups Milk
- 1/2 Cup Jaggery Grated
- 2 Tablespoons Sugar
- 10 to 12 No's Cashews
- 10 to 12 No's Almonds
- 8 to 9 No's Raisins
- 1/2 Teaspoon Cardamom Powder

Oats Payasam/Kheer in Electric Cooker.

Switch on the cooker and hold the cooking mode button as the container in it is empty.

When we hold the cooking mode button it gets heated, then add 2 tablespoons of ghee in it.

Add 10 to 12 Cashew nuts and 10 to 12 Almonds and fry them till brown, then place them on a plate for a while.

Fry raisins in the same cooker and place them aside.

Then add 1 more tablespoon of ghee to it, ghee adds flavor and taste to the recipe.

Fry 1 cup of oats and fry them till it changes color, and place them on a plate for a while.

Oats do not have any particular taste they are bland, so if we fry them they become flavourful.

Now add 3 cups of milk and bring it to boil with a lid.

When it’s boiled, take off the lid and let it boil for 2 more minutes.

Now, will add fried oats to the boiling milk, stirring it.

Let it cook for two minutes, then add ½ grated jaggery and let it melt.

We can see the change in color of the kheer.

If you like to have it sweeter add some jaggery or sugar.·

I am adding 2 tablespoons of sugar to it.

Mix them all and cook it till the desired consistency.

Then will add 10 to 12 cashew nuts, 10 to 12 Almonds, and 8 to 9 Raisins fried them all earlier.

Now, will add ½ teaspoon of cardamom powder to add more flavor to the kheer.

So our healthy super tasty oats kheer is ready.
