Poha Kachori is another delicious variety of kachori or Flattened Rice Kachori. Its very simple to make and tastes so good. The outer layer is made with Poha and is stuff with Potato, and Green Peas. It's Crispy, Crunchy, and yummy. A lovely evening snack

Ingredients
  • 1/2 Cup Flattened Rice (Poha, Atkulu)
  • 3/4 Teaspoon Salt
  • 2 Teaspoons Olive Oil
  • Oil as needed for deep frying
  • 3 Potatoes Boiled
  • 2 Tablespoons Onions Finely Chopped
  • 2 Numbers Green Chilies Finely Chopped
  • 1/2 Cup Green Peas Boiled
  • 1/2 Cup Coriander Leaves
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Cumin Powder
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Chat Masala
Instructions
  1. Firstly will take ½ cup of flattened rice, which we use for Upma.

  2. Wash it and soak it in water for a minute and let it rest in a sieve for some time.

  3. Meanwhile will prepare the stuffing for the Kachori.

  4. Will take 3 boiled potatoes, peel it off either grate it or mash it.

  5. Take the mashed potatoes in a mixing bowl will add 2 tablespoons of finely chopped onions.

  6. Then will add 2 finely chopped green chilies and will add ¼ cup of boiled green peas.

  7. And then, will add ¼ cup of coriander leaves, then will add ¼ teaspoon of chili powder.

  8. Will add salt as needed and then will add ½ teaspoon of coriander powder.

  9. Now, will add ¼ teaspoon of cumin powder, and ¼ teaspoon of turmeric powder.

  10. Then will add ¼ teaspoon of chat masala and mix them all for stuffing.

  11. All the ingredients used in stuffing can be added or lessen it as per our tastes.

  12. Now we can see the flattened rice puffed, we can mash it with our palms or grind it.

  13. Will grind it in a mixer with little water, put it in a bowl add salt as needed.

  14. Add 2 teaspoons of olive oil to it mix it all and take a lemon sized portion and spread it.

  15. After we spread the mashed flattened rice will fill in with the stuffing and cover it all properly.

  16. Take oil in a pan for deep frying the Kachori, will fry them till light brown on medium flame.

  17. Take it on tissue or paper napkin to serve it hot.
