Omelette Curry is an ideal dish for those quick meals when you are in rush and want something quick yet delicious.
- 3 Eggs
- 1 tsp Chilli Flakes
- 1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/4 cup Onions
- 1/4 cup Tomatoes (optional)
- 1/4 cup Grated Carrot
- 1/4 cup Capsicum
- 1/4 cup Coriander Leaves
- 1/2 cup Onions
- 2 Tomatoes (paste)
- 2 Onions (paste)
- 1 1/2 tsp Chilli Powder
- 1 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1 tsp Coriander Seeds Powder
- 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds Powder
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
Here we make the curry with steamed omelette.
So, to make the curry, we need to cook the steamed omelette first
We cook this omelette under steam rather than on the pan
Beat 3 eggs in a bowl
Add chilli flakes, salt to taste, ginger garlic paste and mix
Add vegetables of your choice and mix
Add tomatoes and mix
This step is optional
Take a stainless steel bow that can be put in the pressure cooker
Spread oil inside the bowl and pour egg mixture
Pour 2 glasses water in the cooker, place a stand and put the bowl on top
Close the lid without the whistle (weight)
Cook for 12-15 minutes on medium flame
Poke with a toothpick to check if the omelette is cooked
After 5 minutes, take it out and cut it into pieces
Steamed omelette is ready now
Let's prepare gravy
Heat 2 tablespoons oil in pan
Add chopped onions and fry till they turn brown
Close lid and fry
As onions turn transparent, add onion paste and mix
Close lid and fry
As onion paste changes colour, add tomato paste and mix
Add 2 diced green chillies, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste and mix
Add 1 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder, 1 teaspoon coriander seeds powder,
1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds, 1 1/2 teaspoon salt or salt to taste and mix
Add 1/2 cup water
Cook for 5 minutes on medium flame
Garam masala could be added if desired
Add omelette pieces and mix
Stir carefully
Close lid and cook on low flame for 2-3 minutes
Serve hot with rice or roti
