Preparation of Sweet Potato Gulab Jamun Recipe in Telugu
Sweet Potato Gulab Jamun
Today will prepare a delightful recipe a desert namely the Sweet Potatoes Gulab Jamun.
We generally call sweet Potatoes as Ratna Puri Gadda , some call it as Chilkadi Dumpa.
- 3 Number Sweet Potatoes
- Baking Soda a Pinch
- 1.5 tbsp Cardamom Powder
- 2 tbsp Ghee
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
Sweet Potato Gulab Jamun Preparation
Firstly will boil the sweet potatoes , I steam and boil or cook them.
Generally everybody boils it in water , we loose vitamin whens directly boiled in water.
You can go thru the link in the description box for the method of steaming the potatoes.
After it is cooked normally ,will not over cook them, peel it grate it and smash it.
Now will add a pinch of Baking Soda and a pinch of Cardamom powder.
Cardamom adds flavor to the recipe , mix them all together.
Then will add 2 Teaspoons of maida flour slowly .
Mix them into a dough consistency is obtained.
Now will add 2 Teaspoons of Ghee and mix it , ghee adds taste to the Jamuns.
Pour required amount of oil in a pan to deep fry the jamuns.
Will shape the dough into balls or in oval shape and deep fry them.
Heat the oil , just check if the oil is heated if the dough ball floats it means its heated.
Put 5 to 6 when you fry them.
Stir constantly so that they are fried thoroughly.
Keep all the fried Jamuns aside.
Now will prepare the sugar syrup for the Jamuns.
Add a cup of sugar and a cup of water in a vessel.
Let it boil for 5 to 6 minutes .
Add 1/2 Teaspoon of Cardamom Powder to the syrup.
Now when the syrup is ready put the jamuns in the hot syrup.
Let them be soaked in the syrup for 2 to 3 hours .
As it cools our delicious Jamuns are ready.
Sweet Potato-Gulab Jamuns are ready and they are mouth watering and yummy.
