How to make Tomato Jam Recipe at Home
Let’s see how to make tomato jam without any preservatives. We’ll need tomatoes, sugar and a little lemon juice. Here I used 1/2 kg tomatoes. Make cross cuts on cleaned tomatoes. Add these tomatoes to boiling water. Boil for 30 seconds. Immediately put the tomatoes in cold water. This will make tomatoes easier to peel. Cut peeled tomatoes into pieces. Grind the tomato pieces into a paste. Measure the prepared tomatoes into a paste. For 2 cups tomato paste, 1 1/2 cup sugar will be sufficient. Simmer the tomato paste on stove. Add 1 1/2 cup sugar and mix till sugar melts. Add 1 tablespoon lemon juice. Keep stirring. Stir continuously till the paste thickens and doesnít stick to the pan. Don’t let the jam stay on stove for too long, it will harden. Put this jam in a sterilized glass jar and store it. This jam could be used from 20 days to 1 month.
