Grind 1 cup onions into a paste. To a mixing bowl, add 1 kg washed chicken. Add 3 tablespoons chilli powder (could be changed according to your preferance), 3 teaspoons salt or salt to taste, 2 teaspoons coriander powder, ½ teaspoon cumin seed powder, ¼ teaspoon garam-masala, 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste, ½ turmeric powder and mix. Add prepared onion paste and mix. Add ½ cup curd, 3 green chillies and mix. Marinate for a minimum of 30 minutes. Here, it has been in the fridge for an hour. To pan, add 2 tablespoons of oil and heat it. Add the marinated chicken to the pan and mix. Close the lid and fry the chicken for 10 minutes on high flame and close the lid. After water seeps out of the chicken as shown, fry the chicken on medium flame. Fry till the water in the chicken boils away. Turn the heat down to low. Add curry leaves and mix. Close the lid for 2 minutes and add coriander leaves.
