Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Green Gram
  • 4 pcs Eggs
  • 2 Cups Spring Onions
  • 5-6 pcs Green Chillies
  • 1/2 Cup Curry Leaves
  • 1 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 1/2 tsp Salt

Egg Dal Curry Recipe Preparation

Let us know about the pappu egg curry preparation now.This lintel egg curry could be made with bengal gram or green gram
Here I’m using green gram
Soak green gram for 1/2 hour
Heat 1 1/2 tablespoon oil in pan
Add 1 teaspoon cumin seeds and fry
Add white onions (or normal onions) and fry
Add green chillies and fry
Add curry leaves after a minute
Add 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste and mix
Add soaked green gram and mix
Mix, close lid and let the green gram cook
Add spring onions (optional)
If you are not using spring onion, add more quantity of green gram
Mix and cook for 2-3 minutes
Add 1 1/2 teaspoon salt and mix
Add 1/4 cup water
Here, coriander seeds powder, coconut powder could be added
As water starts to boil, add coriander leaves.
Move the curry and make space in the middle to break the egg
Break the egg
Similarly, break all the eggs
Close lid and cook on low flame
Move the egg to see if there is any water left in the pan
Cook till the water boils away
