We will be using kodo millets for this recipe
Kodo millets are very healthy
Vitamins and minerals are abundant in these millets
Making kodo millets a part of our diet is very beneficial to our health
Adding them in dosa, rice or idly won't change the taste of the dishes
We can make millets dosa, millets idly and millets rice with these kodo millets

Let's see how to make kodo millets dosa

Let's soak black gram first
Wash the black gram with water 2-3 times and add water
Add 1/2 teaspoon fenugreek seeds and soak for 6-7 hours
Move the kodo millets into a bowl
Black gram and kodo millets have to be in 1:2 proportions respectively
Wash the kodo millets with water 2-3 times
Add water and soak for 6-7 hours
We can see that the black gram has bulged up nicely along with the kodo millets
It's time to grind them now
To a mixie jar, add soaked black gram with fenugreek seeds and water
Grind it into a soft paste
A grinder also could be used instead
Move the black gram paste into a bowl
To the same mixie jar, add kodo millets and grind it into a soft paste
Add this paste to the black gram paste and mix
Don't add salt unless you plan to finish it on the same day
Mix and close lid
Let it ferment for 5-6 hours
This dosa tastes like normal dosa only
To make the dosa, add the required amount of dosa batter into a bowl
Add salt and water as desired
Dosa batter is ready now
Heat pan
Pour 1 1/2 spoons kodo millets dosa batter and spread it on the pan
Add oil and cook on low flame
Flip after a couple of minutes
Serve hot with chutney or sambar!
