Coconut Rice Recipe in Telugu

Coconut Rice | Kobbari Annam is really an easy and simple recipe to prepare a quick one too. Great breakfast and a different, and a flavourful lunch box recipe, kids would love it. And the fresh coconut grate adds a great flavor to the rice. A yummy, and delicious dish at home hardly in 10 Minutes.

  • 2 Cups Steamed Rice
  • 1/2 Cup Fresh Coconut Grate
  • 2 Teaspoon Ghee
  • 2 Teaspoons Bengal Gram
  • 2 Teaspoons Black Gram
  • 10 to 12 Numbers Cashews
  • 3 to 4 Green Chilies
  • 2 Shoots Curry Leaves
  • Salt as per taste
  • Coriander Leaves For Garnishing


  1. In a pan heat 2 teaspoons of Ghee, let it melt.

  2. Add 2 teaspoon of Bengal gram and Black gram each

  3. Now, will add ½ teaspoon of Cumin Seeds and Mustard Seeds each.

  4. Let it fry and splutter, then add 2 Red chilies to it

  5. Then add 10 to 12 cashew nuts and fry.·

  6. Now, will add 3 to 4 Green Chillies and 2 shoots of Curry Leaves, and fry them for a while.

  7. Add 1 teaspoon of salt or as needed.

  8. And now add 2 cups of steamed rice and mix them all thoroughly.

  9. Add fresh Coconut grate and mix them all.· 

  10.  And add some coriander for garnishing, place a lid for a moment on a low flame.

  11.  Put off the stove. Our tasty, simple and a quick flavored rice is ready.
