Rava Laddu Preparation in Telugu

rava laddu | Sooji Laddu or Sooji Ladoo with step by step photo and video recipe. laddu recipes are common sweet recipes during festival season and rava laddu is one such sweet recipe. unlike other indian ladoo’s, it requires only few main ingredients. basically it is prepared with roasted semolina, coconut, sugar and dry fruits.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 Kg Upma Rava
  • 1/4 Kg Sugar
  • 1/2 Cup Coconut Powder (Optional)
  • Cashew Nuts
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Cardamom Powder
  • 2 Tablespoons Clarified Butter (Ghee)

how to make rava laddu with step by step :

Let's fry all the dry fruits first

Add 1 tablespoon clarified butter (ghee) to pan

Fry the dry fruits first Other dry fruits like raisins could be used

Move the cashew nuts into a bowl after they turn light brown

Add the rest of the clarified butter (ghee) to the pan

Add upma rava and fry till it gives a nice aroma

After it lightly changes colour,

add coconut powder and mix

Move it into a different bowl

Add 1/4 kg sugar to the pan

Add 1/2 cup water and mix

Mix till the sugar melts in water

Let the sugar water boil till it becomes a sugar syrup

Add cardamom powder and mix

Add rava and mix Add fried cashew nut and mix

Cut off the stove and let it cool till it becomes warm Make balls of desired size If the mixture cools down completely and becomes hard,

just heat it on low flame, it will become loose and easy to mould

After the laddus completely cool down,

store them in an air tight container...

finally, rava laddu | suji laddu stays good for a month when refrigerated and minimum of 2 weeks in airtight container.
