Sweet Pongal Recipe Making | Chakkara pongali
How to make Instant Sweet Pongal Recipe.
- 1 cup Rice
- 1/2 cup Green gram
- 2 cups Water
- 3 cups Milk
- 2 cups Jaggery
- 3 tbsp Ghee
- 1 tsp Cardamom powder
- Dry fruits
SWEET PONGAL
Here I took 1 cup rice and 1/2 cup green gram
Wash and soak one cup rice and half cup green gram for 30 minutes
Let’s fry the dry fruits first
Add two teaspoons ghee to a pan and heat it. Add diced almond, cashew nuts and fry till they turn light brown.
Add 2-3 teaspoons of kissmiss and fry till they bulge.
To soaked rice, add two cups water and boil.
Close lid and boil
Milk can be added first, but this will increase the chances of the dish getting burnt and it will take rice longer to cook
Add 3 cups milk to the boiled rice.
Mix regularly.
Add 2 cups jaggery after rice is cooked and mix well.
Now add 1/2 cup chopped coconut.
Add 2 tablespoons clarified butter (ghee)
Add 2 teaspoons cardamom powder for flavour.
Cardamom powder can be made by powdering 3-4 cardamoms with 2 teaspoons of sugar
Then add fried dryfruits.
Serve Hot!
