Steps to make Aloo Biryani in Pressure Cooker in Telugu
- 300 grms Baby Potatoes
- 2 cups Basmathi Rice
- 1 pc Onion
- 2 pcs Tomatoes
- 1 cup Curd
- Whole Garam Masala
- 1 tsp Coriander Seeds Powder
- 2 tsp Chilli Powder
- 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds Powder
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1/4 tsp Garam Masala Powder
- 1 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 1/2 tsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- Mint Leaves
- Coriander Leaves
ALOO BIRYANI IN PRESSURE COOKER
Today let's see how to make aloo biryani in pressure cooker
This aloo biryani made with baby potatoes is very tasty and easy to make
Here I took 300 grams baby potatoes for this recipe
Normal potatoes alos could be used instead
Wash and peel the potatoes
Wash and soak basmathi rice for 30 mintues
Chop an onion and dice 2 medium sized tomatoes
Beat 1 cup curd
Firstly, fry the baby potatoes in oil
Heat 2 tablespoons oil in pressure cooker
Fry the washed peeled baby potatoes or diced potatoes in oil
Close lid and fry for 2-3 minutes
Move them into a plate
In the same cooker, add 1 tablespoon clarified butter (ghee) along with whole garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon shahjeera, 3 cardamom, 4 cloves, 2-3 cinnamon stick pieces, 1 star anise and fry for a minute
Now add the diced onion and fry till it turns brown
Close lid and fry
Then add 2-3 diced green chillies
Add 1 1/2 teaspoon ginger garlic paaste and mix
After a minute add diced tomatoes and cook till they become soft
Close lid and cook
Add 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, 2 teaspoons chilli powder, 1 teaspoon coriander seeds powder, 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds powder, 1/4 teaspoon garam masala powder, 1 1/2 teaspoon salt and mix
Then add 1/2 cup mint leaves
Now add the curd and mix
Add fried baby potatoes and cook for 2-3 minutes
Add soaked basmathi rice and mix
Soaking rice will give a nice texture to it
For 1 cup rice, add 2 cups water.
Here, for 2 cups rice, add 4 cups water
Add coriander leaves and mix
Close lid and cook for 2 whistles
Let the cooker cool down and open the lid
Serve hot with favaourite gravy or raita!
