Healthy Millet Pesarattu Preparation in Telugu

- 1 cup Foxtail Millets
- 1 cup Green Gram
- Ginger
- Green Chillies
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 3/4 tsp Salt

Lets see how to make pesarattu with millets
We will be making foxtail millet pesarattu
This pesarattu is very tasty and also very healthy
Here I’ve used 1 cup foxtail millets and 1 cup green gram
We can increase the quantity of green gram also. For 2 cups of green gram, 1 cup of foxtail millets also could be used
Soak green gram and fox tail millets for 4-5 hours
They can be soaked over night also
Here I’ve soaked them for 5 hours
We have to grind these into a thick paste.
Add 2-3 small ginger pieces, green chillies and grind it
Next, add foxtail millets and grind for a minute
Then add green gram along with some water and grind it into a soft batter
Move it into a bowl and mix
Add 3/4 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon cumin seeds and mix
Batter for millet pesarattu is ready!
Lets make the pesarattu now
Heat pan
Put the stove on medium flame, pour a spoon of batter on the pan and spread it along the pan
Add some more ghee on top. Oil also could be used
If desired, chopped onions, green chillies, coriander leaves and ginger could be sprinkled on top
Cook for a minute till the pesarattu turns brown and serve hot!
