How to make Munakkada Patoli Recipe. Simple Drum Stick Curry in Andhra Style
- 2 pcs Drumsticks
- 1/2 cup Bengal Gram
- 7-8 pcs Green Chillies
- 2-3 pcs Ginger
- 1 tsp Salt
- 2 pcs Dried Chillies
- 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1/2 tsp Mustard Seeds
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 cup Curry Leaves
MUNAKKADA PATOLI
Peel and chop the drumsticks
Garlic cloves instead of ginger could be used
Both of them together also could be used
Soak bengal gram for 1/2 to 1 hour
To a bowl of water, add /2 teaspoon salt
Add drumstick pieces and mix
Boil for 6-7 minutes
Move them into a plate
Drain off the water from the soaked bengal gram
Grind them into a coarse paste along with ginger pieces, green chillies and salt to taste
Heat 3 tablespoons oil in pan
Add 1/2 teaspoon mustard seeds, 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds, pieces of 2 dried chillies and fry
Add boiled drumsticks and fry
Fry for 5-6 minutes
Add 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, curry leaves and fry
Add bengal gram paste and mix
Cook on low flame
Stir and cook
After the curry becomes dry, sprinkle coriander leaves
Serve with roti or rice!
