INGREDIENTS
1. Lotus Seeds - 1 Cup
2. Onions - 1/2 Cup
3. Green Chillies - 2
4. Onion Paste - 1/2 Cup
5. Tomato Paste - 1/2 Cup
6. Chilli Powder - 2 Teaspoons
7. Coriander Seeds Powder - 1 Teaspoon
8. Cumin Seeds Powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
9. Garam Masala Powder - 1/4 Teaspoon
10. Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 Teaspoon
11. Salt - 1 1/2 Teaspoon
12. Cashew
13. Turmeric Powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
Heat 1 teaspoon oil in a pan. Fry lotus seeds in it. Fry for 5 minutes on medium flame. If desired, add 1/2 teaspoon oil in the pan and fry cashew nuts. Fry till cashews change colour. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in the pan. Fry 1/2 cup chopped onions. Add onion paste as onions start to change colour. Mix, close the lid and let the paste cook for 5 minutes. Add tomato paste and fry. Adding onion and tomato paste will give a nice taste and thicken the gravy. Fry till oil seeps out of the tomato paste. Add 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste and fry. Fry for a minute and add 2 teaspoons chilli powder, 1 teaspoon coriander seeds powder, 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds powder, 1 1/2 teaspoon salt or salt to taste and mix for a minute. Add 1 1/2 cup water. Add diced green chillies, fried lotus seeds and mix. Close the lid and cook on low flame for 5 minutes. Add fried cashews and cook for a couple of minutes. Add 1/4 teaspoon garam masala powder, coriander leaves and mix. Garnish with cream.
