Potato Cheese Sticks Preparation
- 2 numbers Potatoes
- 3 tbsp Upma Rava (Suji/Semolina)
- 1/4 tbsp Chat Masala
- 1/2 tbsp Chili Flakes
- Salt as needed
- 2 tbsp Spring Onions
- 2 tbsp Rice Flour
- Cheese as needed
Firstly will grind the Upma Rava (Suji/Semolina) into a fine powder in a mixie jar.
Then will boil 2 potatoes , peel them and grate them.
Now will slowly add some upma rava powder to the grated potatoes and mix them.
Add 1/4 teaspoon of chat masala or can replace it with pepper powder also.
Then will add 1/2 teaspoon chili flakes to the mixture.
And then will add salt as needed and mix them all.
We can more of semolina powder to tighten the mixture / paste.
Now will add 2 tablespoons of spring onion and grated cheese .
If you feel the mixture is loose and sticky spread some oil on to your hands adding some more semolina mix it thoroughly.
Place it aside for 5 to 6 minutes.
After 5 minutes , the paste may become loose , will add 2 teaspoons of rice flour to it.
Rice flour tightens the mixture / paste and it adds crispness too the recipe.
It can be replaced by maida flour too.
I am using a alluminium foil to roll the sticks , we can even use oil covers.
Place the mixture on the foil and fold the foil from the either sides.
Then will roll it with a rolling pin , open the foil we can see evenly spread mixture.
Will cut them into required regular shapes and fry them.
Heat required amount of oil for deep fry them.
Fry them on medium or low flame only on either sides till golden brown.
