Potato Snacks | Baby Potato Manchurian

Ingredients

1. Baby Potatoes – 300 grams

2. Corn Flour

3. Salt

4. Chilli Powder – 1/2 teaspoon

5. Pepper Powder

6. Garlic Cloves

7. Green Chilli

8. Onion

9. Soya Sauce

10. Vinegar

11. Tomato Sauce

12. Coriander Leaves

Let’s see how to make a tasty potato snack item, potato manchurian

Potato is a favorite for everyone. These are very easy to make and very tasty to eat

Here I took 300 grams baby potatoes

Wash them and cook them in pressure cooker for upto 2 whistles along with some salt

Peel the boiled baby potatoes

Poke them with a fork to make cuts

These cuts will make the masala spread into the potato and make them tasty

Let’s prepare the coating first

To a bowl, add 2 tablespoons corn flour along with 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder, a pinch of pepper powder and mix

Sprinkle this powder on the baby potatoes and mix it

Add as much as necessary. Don’t add any water, the natural moisture of the potatoes will be enough for the masalas to stick to them

Toss the potatoes with the prepared masala

It’s time to fry the prepared baby potatoes

They can be deep fried or shallow fried

Heat 2-3 tablespoons oil in pan

Add the baby potatoes one by one to the pan and fry them

Fry them for a minute

Flip and fry till they turn golden brown colour on both sides

Cook on low- medium flame and cook till they turn brown

Cut off the stove and put them aside

Let’s prepare then gravy now

Heat 1 teaspoon oil in pan

Add 5-6 chopped garlic cloves and fry for a minute

Add 1 chopped onion and fry till they turn transparent

Also add 1 green chilli and fry

Let’s prepare sauce for the Potato Manchurian now

To a bowl, add 1 1/2 tablespoon corn flour along with 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder and 1/4 teaspoon salt

Then add 1/4 cup water and mix

To the gravy, add 1 tablespoon soya sauce and 1 tablespoon vinegar and mix

Add 1 tablespoon tomato ketchup and mix

All these sauces are optional, any sauces of your choice could be used

Now add the prepared corn flour mixture to the gravy. Add some water also if the gravy is too thick

Add chopped coriander leaves and mix

Now add the fried baby potatoes and mix

Baby Potato Manchuria is ready to serve!
