Prawns Gravy Curry

Ingredients

1. Prawns – 1/4 kg

2. Onions – 2

3. Green Chillies – 2

4. Turmeric Powder – 1/2 teaspoon

5. Salt – 1 1/2 teaspoon

6. Chilli Powder – 2 teaspoons

7. Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 teaspoon

8. Tamarind – 30 grams

9. Coriander Seeds Powder – 1 teaspoon

10. Cumin-Fenugreek Seeds Powder – 1/2 teaspoon

11. Garam Masala Powder – 1/4 teaspoon

12. Curry Leaves

13. Coriander Leaves

 

Today let’s see how to make prawns curry (pulusu) very easily

Here I took 1/4 kg prawns

Wash and clean the prawns

Now add 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 1/2 teaspoon salt, 2 teaspoons chilli powder and mix

Marinate it for 15-20 minutes

Heat 1 1/2 tablespoon oil in pan

Add 2 chopped onions and fry till they turn brown

Close lid and fry

Add 2 green chillies and fry

Now add 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste and mix

Then add the marinated prawns and mix

Close lid and cook

Cook for 2-3 minutes till the water seeps out

Cook till the water seeping out boils away

Stir and cook

Ad the oil starts to float, add tamarind water and mix

Here I juiced 30 grams tamarind

Add water for gravy and mix

Then add 1 teaspoon coriander seeds powder, 1/2 teaspoon cumin-fenugreek seeds powder ( powder of fried 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds and 1/4 teaspoon fenugreek seeds) and close lid

Cook for 5 minutes on medium flame and add 1/4 teaspoon garam masala powder

Then add 1/2 cup curry leaves, coriander leaves and cook for a couple of minutes

Cut off the stove and serve hot!
