Rajma masala curry is a popular vegetarian dish.

The combination of Rajma and rice generally lists as a top favourite of North Indians.

Soak Kidney beans in water for 4 to 5 hours before cooking.
Boil this soaked Rajma Curry in pressure cooker for 4 to 5 wistles.
Heat a pan and add 3 table spoons of oil.
Add half spoon cumin seeds. Add 1 cup diced onions and 1 tea spoon salt.
Let the onions cook till brown. Add 1 tea spoon ginger garlic paste and let it cook.
Add paste of 2to 3 tomatoes and fry in oil. Add 4 to 5 green chillis and a little turmeric powder.
Mix well and add 2 tea spoons of chilli powder.

Add boiled Rajma. Also add the water used to boil Rajma,

if necessary add some more water. Mix well. Salt also could be added.

If you want thick gravy, grind 1to 2 spoons of Rajma and add to the curry while cooking.

Let it cook for 5 minutes.

Add 1 tea spoon coriander powder, half tea spoon cumin seeds powder and 1/4 tea spoon garam masala powder. Mix well.

Add curry leaves and coriander leaves. Cook on low flame till consistancy of gravy is to your liking. Serve hot.
