Sorakaya Curry | Bottle Gourd Curry Recipe in Telugu
Ingredients
- Small Bottle Guard
- 7-8 Green Chillies
- 1 Onion
- 1 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 Teaspoon Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds
- 1 Teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1/2 Cup Coriander Leaves

Prepare masala first. To a mixie jar, add 7-8 green chillies, 1/2 cup coriander leaves, 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds, 1 teaspoon salt and grind it into a soft paste. Heat 2 tablespoons oil in a pan. Add 1 chopped onion and fry. As onions start to become transparent, add 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste and mix. Fry for a minute and add diced bottle guard. Mix and add 1/2 teaspoon salt. Mix, close the lid and cook for 10 minutes. Add prepared masala, mix, close the lid and cook for 5 minutes. Add water to the jar and pour the mixture in the curry if necessary. 1/4 cup water will be sufficient. Mix and cook for 2-3 minutes. Cut off the stove when bottle guard starts to change colour.
