A Simple and Tasty Chicken Curry
A simple and easy Chicken Curry recipe with yogurt, a flavourful delicacy.
Ideal to have with Bagara Rice, Roti, and Poori as well. Anybody can give it a try as the method is too simple to cook and easily available ingredients at home. A simple yet tasty recipe you will definitely relish the Chicken Curry thoroughly.
- 1 Kg Chicken
- 3 Teaspoons Salt
- 1/2 Cup Curd
- 4 Teaspoons Red Chili Powder
- 1 1/2 Teaspoon Coriander Powder
- 1/2 Teaspoon Cumin Powder
- 1 Teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
- 3 Finely Chopped Onions
- 2 Slit Green Chilies
- 1 1/2 Tablespoon Oil
- 1 to 2 Cups Water
- 1/4 Teaspoon Garam Masala
- 1 Tablespoon Coriander Leaves Chopped for Garnishing

Take 1 kg chicken, clean and washed to be marinated for ½ hours’ time minimum.

For margination in a mixing bowl add 3 teaspoons of salt.

Add ½ cup of curd and mix them all.

Now, will add 4 teaspoons of red chili powder.

Then will add 1 ½ teaspoon of Coriander powder.

Now, will add ½ teaspoon of Turmeric Powder.

And then will add ½ teaspoon of cumin seeds powder.

Now, will add 1 teaspoon of Ginger and Garlic paste.

Mix them all and marinate it for ½ hours’ time minimum.

I have marinated it for 1 hour.

Heat a pan with 1 ½ tablespoon of oil.

Add 3 chopped onions. We need to fry onions till transparent with a lid.

Then 2 green chilies cut into small pieces, fry for a while.

Now, will add ½ teaspoon of turmeric powder.

Now will add marinated chicken to it.

Cook it on high flame with a lid on it.

We can see chicken releasing water, cook it till water subsides.

Place the lid and cook for 5 minutes.

Add some water for gravy and cook it till we get the required consistency.

Cook it for 5 more minutes, add ¼ teaspoon of Garam Masala.

Do not stir it constantly, top it up with some chopped coriander leaves.
