Tomato Dosa Recipe

Ingredients
(1) Oats – 1 cup
(2) Tomatoes – 1 cup
(3) Rice Flour – 1 cup
(4) Wheat Flour – 1/2 cup
(5) Ginger Pieces – 2-3
(6) Dried Chillies – 2-3
(7) Salt – 1 teaspoon
Let’s see how to make tomato dosa
Lets make dosa using oats and tomatoes as the main ingredients . It is also very healthy Recipe
Dice 3 tomatoes into small pieces
Either wheat flour or all purpose flour could be used in this recipe
Powder the oats in a mixie jar
Add it to a mixing bowl, add 1 cup rice flour
Then add 1/2 cup wheat flour
Mix all the above powders
To a mixie jar, add the diced tomatoes, 2-3 small ginger pieces and 2-3 dried chillies and grind it into a paste
Add this to the previous bowl and add a little water and mix till dosa batter consistency is obtained
Then add 1 teaspoon salt and mix Let it sit for 10-15 minutes and add chopped onions and chopped green chillies
Here Green chillies are optional
Subsequently add chopped curry leaves, 1 teaspoon cumin seeds and mix
If the batter seems too thick, add water till dosa batter consistency is obtained
This batter should be very thin
Let’s make the dosa now
Heat pan and spread oil over it
Now, pour the dosa batter over the pan
Remember not to spread the dosa batter with spoon
Spread more oil over the dosa if desired
Cook the batter for 3-4 minutes, the dosa will start to turning brown colour
Later Move it into a serving plate, It is not needed to flip the dosa and cook it on the other side
If dosa is sticking too much to the pan, than spread oil on the pan by dipping a half cut onion in oil.
Spread oil on pan using the onion and pour the batter slowly
Cook for 3-4 minutes and move it into a serving plate
Serve it with favorite chutney!
If you want to skip the chutney, jut add more onions and green chillies to the batter.
