- Lets see how to make dal with tindora
- This dal is a great combo with rice or rotis
- It is very simple to make with minimal flavours
- Wash and slice 1/4 kg tindoras
- Wash and soak 1/2 cup bengal gram for 30 minutes
- Tindora and bengal gram take longer to cook, so lets boil them in pressure cooker
Tindora with Dal Preparation at Home
- Heat 1 1/2 tablespoon oil in cooker
- Add chopped garlic cloves and fry for a minute
- Then add 1 chopped onion and fry till they turn transparent
- Add green chillies and fry for a minute
- Now add 1/2 cup curry leaves, 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder and mix
- Add tindora pieces, close lid and cook for 2-3 minutes
- Now drain off the water in the soaked bengal gram and add this to the cooker
- Then add 1 1/2 teaspoon salt or salt to taste, 1/4 glass water and close lid
- Cook for 3 whistles
- Open the lid after cooker cools down and cook till the water boils away
- Sprinkle coriander leaves and cut off the stove
- Tindora bengal gram is ready to serve!
